Our Friday
Today is Tom's birthday, so we both took the day off and walked through the market and then we went to the sculpture park and the Asian art museum and the dahlia garden and had a leisurely lunch on the patio at Serafina's. All things we never have time to do, especially on a Friday.
The dahlia garden is up at Volunteer Park, at the east edge of the lawn that's behind the art museum. It isn't a huge garden, but it's much bigger than anything I could fit in my backyard.
Joannie Kervran Stangeland writes poetry and the Poe-query blog. Her new book, Into the Rumored Spring, was published by Ravenna Press. Joannie's also the author of two chapbooks--A Steady Longing for Flight (winner of the Floating Bridge Press Chapbook Award) and Weathered Steps (Rose Alley Press). Her poems have also appeared in The Midwest Quarterly, Valparaiso Poetry Review, and other publications.
