Number nine...number nine...

...and then number ten.

In the words of Lou Reed, "Ten is for everything."

Is that even possible? I did get three yesterday - all books - but I thought it might be because of the pre-AWP panic to clear subs off the desk. But that is crazy?

Oooh, sorry about the three. I did get a book rejection, but haven't included that in the tally.

Number nine was a reach. Number ten was hard because I thought the work would be a really good match for them--topical, and all that.

The Most Rejections in a Week is not the contest I wanted to win, but the week has two more days in it. And I haven't forgotten about that acceptance!

Yes, those acceptances are what keep us going - and writing new poems!
